Best Nature Poems

I press my keyboard several times
to type the type of words that show loss of lives
Loss of lives due to greed that now seems like a creed
it really pains how a human being can be so mean in their deeds
why, why, why do you destroy our motherland, why wipe us out of the earth.

I cannot freely move anymore without fear for my life
The thought that the human is on the look scares me
My life is not easy early in the morning or late in the evening
I am wanted not as a criminal but as a victim of crime, crime committed to me,
why, why, why do you destroy our motherland, why wipe us out of the earth.

Shot and shots are fired at us day in day out
They do it for fun while we run for our lives
I am scared of the human who is now a bad beast among us.
Nowhere to run to for everywhere they are,
why, why, why do you destroy our motherland, why wipe us out of the earth.

They run the government so we cannot run there for help
who will protect us if those who should pose as real enemies?
Our tusks are so precious to them than our existence
we have the right to live but you violate our right to life.
If this will continue then the generations to come will never hear of an ELEPHANT.
Save THE ELEPHANTS, SAVE THEIR EXISTANCE.

I'm just a nothing
says the desert wind to us all,
and you're just a nothing

once you've opened the door.
It feels so good to be at all,
says the lion tasting blood,

the man with his lady,
her back to the wall.
Feels so good when she takes him in,

slaking a collective thirst for violence and oneness
and peace and war, all
reasons to have money and power

resonate in a game with a one-track mind.
Into each other we play to fall,
we jump and chase and catch,
take that leap for madness
in the name of love for sex..

Pass it on, and on and on....
For the briefest moment,
our children smile with unadulterated curiosity.
Then it's gone, we're forever looking
for its source, seeing shapes
in the desert that scream of nothing again
'til we're grinning and dancing like we never learned how
to taper it off in measured quantities,
remembering how free we are
beneath stars who never feel our presence at all.

Give them clear mountain lakes,
And kid-friendly swimming holes,
Rafts, rowboats, and canoes;
Dads and sons with fishing poles.
Give them clear night skies,
Filled with just enough moonlight
To find shadowy paths--
Navigating by starlight.

Give them old patch jackets
To remind them of their tales:
Camporees, jamborees,
And famous historic trails
Give them some traditions
From American folklore;
Ashes saved from campfires,
To teach them who went before.

Give them Boy Scout handbooks,
Lengths of rope with knots to tie,
Multi-tool pocket knives,
And young Scouts wanting to try.
Give them trails to follow,
Maps and compasses to read.
Stories around a fire,
Patrols of Boy Scouts to lead.

All Scouts want is just a chance
To watch wildlife and touch native plants,
Go snipe hunting and backpacking,
And earn merit badges for everything.
All Scouts want is just somewhere
To swim and hike and breathe fresh air,
And to cook and laugh around a campfire.
There’s just not much more for a Scout to desire.

I pick a history from the peck of grains;
Only my retention will take me far.
Or through modest abasement will I unwrap it strains?
